A discovery at Bull

When interning prior to graduation in Rabat, the capital, he discovers a solution

that will also be one for him: AX Dynamics. In fact, it is at Bull [extinct French IT

manufacturer] that he meets the software that will be at the heart of his future

activities several years later at FiveForty°. Meanwhile, everything is going fine for

Ahmed until the moment when Bull is taken over by Athos.

The way that looked so clearly traced was seemingly looking like a dead end.

Happily for him, Ahmed remains on top of AX and takes a close interest in Java.

He seizes an AX opportunity with Accenture in Morocco. For a year, Ahmed is

assigned to a complex project. His work is appreciated by the team in France.

Company protocols allowing missions abroad, Accenture offers Ahmed a long-term

assignment in metropolitan France. He arrives in 2017. Ahmed continues his

adventure under the Avanade banner he joins 2018. A new, interesting, work

environment but Ahmed is missing something: "I was not feeling entirely well from

a relational standpoint, stress increased", he remembers. A state of affairs that led

him to start searching.

Words that change everything

Three weeks later, FiveForty° offers for him to meet Jérôme and Alexandre:

"From the first exchanges, I felt confident. The words they used, the discourse was

clearly contrasting with my other interviews. And I liked that very much", points out

Ahmed not used at all to this quality of contact, unheard of for him. "I verified this as

soon as I was on board, they trusted you immediately." Ahmed joins the team in

April 2019 as a technical consultant.

Sometime later, functional consultant friend tells him he’s not at ease in his current

job in a heavy environment. He replies: "You cannot go to work to be toiling like

a robot. Going to work just to go to work, it’s a bit thin, motivation-wise."

Ahmed explains what he appreciates at FiveForty°. "Here, you can easily have lunch

with your manager. Project leaders are accessible, they give you the info you

need, you are not alone with your problem. One feels to be a team, whichever are

their roles." Convinced, today, the friend has joined him. While working on

Lagardère Travel Retail, Erytech and GC Aesthetics, Ahmed considers he’s lucky to

come accross many consultants and collaborators with whom exchanges and

knowledge sharing occur naturally.

Ahmed chose “le football”, soccer, and has already organized two matches with the

team he put together with his colleagues on specially reserved fields for the

occasion. Result: "one loss and one win… We’re not quite in Champions League yet,

but it’s a lot of fun!." A Real Madrid fan since forever, a great moment comes back to

mind: "When I was a kid in Morocco, my parents bought a TV; quite an event.

Everybody was there, and on the first game I saw, it was the Real on the field. Since

then, I’ve remained fascinated by their style of play." When he does not disappear

to do pool lenghts, Ahmed likes to watch movies. In particular those based on true

stories. One of his favorites is “Cast Away”, with Tom Hanks. Exactly what he is
